MORNING GRAINS 3/31/14
MORNING GRAINS 3/31/14

********END OF MONTH/END OF QUARTER*************************

Corn:

Exports: None Visible.

Comments: We place our bets and take our cards ahead of the USDA reports at 11:00a.m. (gambling problem? Dial 1-800-bet-on-it); typically not much news around; open interest rose 4300 even as May falls 3660 amid moderate volume; C-O-T report: leaned neutral.

SOYBEANS:

Exports: None Visible.

Comments: No China revelations of late; USDA report in a couple hours; Asian CPO lower on drab exports and an export tax from Malaysia and Indonesia (helps soyoil competition); Brazil’s lawmakers decide NOT to impose an export tax on oilseeds apparently; open interest rose 1200 amid light volume; C-O-T report: strangely neutral/positive.

Wheat:

Exports: None Visible.

Comments: April showers (forecast) bring May flowers? And some thought the rally was more than weather? We’ll see. Russian grains exports to date up 44.3% on year (and just the Mch. 1-26th exports of wheat and corn healthy! Needs money?); C-O-T report: leaned bearish.

SEE YOU AFTER THE REPORT………………………………….
