CLOSING AGS 11/6/13
CLOSING AGS 11/6/13

Cattle: Cash cattle last week: $132.-133.00; On 96 boxed loads cut outs mixed at dn. $1.51 (c)/up. $.60 (s) on moderate midday volume.

Comments: Dull trade waiting for the live market to show some signs of life; activity in the beef, both price and movement not very helpful to produce a sure ’tilt’.

Hogs: Interior hogs early unquoted east, west up; pork cut outs lower midday.

Comments: Not much going on here as the traders look for new impetus to trade on. Technically near term in limbo but weak cash markets and (apparent) December long liquidation keeping a lid on rallies.

GRAINS & OILSEEDS:

Corn: Soybeans: Wheat: Corn and wheat lower on technical sales and in advance of the upcoming USDA reports for corn and stout export competition for our wheat globally. Soybeans and showed modest strength in apparent light shortcovering, upside limited by the report.
