    Highland Way

    Polar Plunge will take place on Sunday, March 29th at the Highland Mall. Registration begins at 12:30pm with the Plunge kicking off at 2.
    The event raises money for the special olympics of south dakota.

    participants are asked to raise a minimum of $100 in order to jump into the water.

    The Mitchell Parks and Recreation Department is taking registration for a sprinng football skills camp hosted by DWU coaches and players. Camp is open to anyone in grades 3-6. Dates are April 7th, 9th, 13th, and 15th. It will be at the practice field from 4-5pm each day.
    Cost is $40 and includes a camp t-shirt.

    First Circuit CASA “Baskets of Hope” luncheon

    First Circuit CASA in Mitchell, SD will be holding a “Baskets of Hope” luncheon to help raise money to provide services to the children in our eight county jurisdiction of Aurora, Brule, Buffalo, Davison, Douglas, Hanson, Hutchinson, and McCook counties. If you share the dream of eliminating child abuse and neglect, we ask you to support our “Baskets of Hope” luncheon. Our CASA children have hope for the future because one friend like
    you cared enough to make a difference.

    The event will be held April 11, at the Wesleyan Church in Mitchell at Noon. Chicken Salad Croissant, Pasta Salad, & Dessert will be served, tickets are $12 each or a table of 8 for $90. Auction Items include, Spa Packages, Weekend Get-Away, & Specialty Desserts.

    The annual Food Pack will be held at the Corn Palace on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 with 2 hour shifts beginning at 8am and ending at 4pm. The food from the pack gets distributed to people suffering from starvation around the world.
