Canistota American Legion Post 162 will be having Bingo from 2-5pm starting October 4 through March 6, every first Sunday of the month. We will play for 50/50 and our sponsors have donated a $25 blackout prize that we’ll pay for the last game. Every tenth game 50/50 will go to the BIG blackout pot that will be played for at the March event.

The Kimball Legion is hosting a soup and sandwich supper starting at 6:30 on Saturday February 13, 2016 at the Legion Hall. Everyone is welcome. The Glass Slipper Project gives away free prom dresses and accessories to high school students in the Mitchell and surrounding areas. The Glass Slipper collects newer formal dresses and accessories and provides them, free of charge, to students who are unable to purchase their own prom attire. Students do not need to prove any type of financial hardship in order to get a dress from us. We distribute the dresses at the Glass Slipper “boutique” each prom season, where each student receives individual assistance from a volunteer “personal shopper” as she shops for the dress of her dreams!
We are funded 100% by donations and it’s all volunteers! Every donation we get is used for advertising, printing of flyers, radio ads, and purchasing gently worn prom dresses, jewelry and shoes for the event.
Prom Dresses, Shoes, & Accessories can be dropped off at the Wesleyan Church Tuesday–Friday 9am-4pm. If you don’t have a prom dress to donate but you’d still like to be a part of the Glass Slipper you can also buy a gently used/new Prom dress to donate also!
