The annual Food Pack will be held at the Corn Palace on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 with 2 hour shifts beginning at 8am and ending at 4pm. The food from the pack gets distributed to people suffering from starvation around the world.

There will be a wine tasting event to act a s a fundraiser on April 18th at 5:00pm at the Mitchell Area Community Theatre.  This event includes wine and entertainment.
Ticket prices are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Quaker Genealogy Conference

The Mitchell Area Genealogical Society is hosting a one day conference on Quakers in addition to the annual meeting of the South Dakota Genealogical Society.  Crista Cowen will present 4 sessions on Quaker Genealogy on April 25, 2015.  Crista has been an employee of Ancestry.com since 2004 and is known as The Barefoot Genealogist.  She specializes in descendancy research, Jewish Immigration, and sharing family history with the genealogically challenged.  Admission is $30.00 if registered before April 17 and $35.00 after April 17.  Contact Pam@mitchellcarnegie.com or ambosma@goldenwest.net for registration form or go to www.mitchellcarnegie.com.
