The Mitchell City Band, under the direction of Joe Pekas, will be in concert
Wednesday July 1st , starting at 7:30PM at the Dakota Discovery Museum which is located to the East across the street from Dakota Wesleyan.
The City Band is performing at the museum in support of the Museum’s
Servicemen’s Memorial Display that has been on-going since May 25 thru July 4.
The theme for this week’s program is: “Duty, Honor, Country”
This pre-Fourth of July concert will include patriotic selections as well as a variety
of music spanning from the Spanish American War to the present day.
Featured soloists include: Allison Day-Vocalist, Mike Catalano-Tuba, Mark Strong-Saxophone.
The band will set up on the platform in front of the Museum Depot. Bring your
lawn chair, there is plenty of room & shade. There are parking lots to the North & South of the museum. All City Band concerts are FREE to the public.
The City Band will be back at Hitchcock Park on Wednesday, July 8, 15, & 22
